Good if you like a bit of mystery - Sheenie
Typical scenario – a patient appears with an unusual set of symptoms and it’s up to House and his team to figure out what’s wrong. (That typically happens in the last 15 minutes of the show…) It’s unlikely the average person will figure out what’s wrong before House does. While I find it highly unusual that a real doctor, no matter how good, would get away with being as much of a jackass as House does (not to mention that his coworkers put up with it instead of throwing it back at him) there is some interesting merit. If you like medical dramas and jackasses you’ll probably be happy with this series. As good as TV gets. - MsFan24
House and Firefly have to be the most addictive TV shows on DVD ever. This is definitely the best show currently on TV. It is even that much more addictive on DVD because you don't have to stop at just one. Hugh Laurie is just incredible as Dr. House and the rest of the characters are impressive in the way they get the most out of House's character every episode. This show has everything you could want in a TV show: action, suspense, comedy, the odd bit of romance and intrigue, as well as great writing, which you don't often get from TV shows. I cannot wait until the next season comes out.Transition Season - Worth It! - PDon+
To be honest, I found the start of this season underwhelming. However as the season progressed, I realized that there was some "method in the madness" as this was the transition season. If House is continue into its 6th or even 9th season (God willing!), then like most other long-run series there needed to be true shakeup. This became evident in the final two episodes. Fear not, no spoilers here. Let me just say, stick with a difficult season because the payoff is worth it in the final two episodes.
