The Simpsons: Season 11
Devoted Simpsons fans need wait no further for Season 11 of the animated series, presented here in its entirety. In its landmark eleventh season, the show showed no signs of slowing down.
The Simpsons - ineffectual (but lovable) patriarch Homer, voice-of-reason mother Marge, rebellious son Bart, brilliant daughter Lisa, and quiet baby Maggie - live in the town of Springfield, surrounded by both the regular cast of characters and the stellar guest stars fans have come to expect. Among the celebrity voices donated to this season are Mel Gibson, Lucy Lawless, Gary Coleman, Tim Robbins, Don Cheadle, Britney Spears, Kid Rock, and Willie Nelson.
Meanwhile, Homer bowls a perfect game, gets challenged to a pistol duel, starts a motorcycle gang, and becomes a food critic while Bart is put on behavior-correcting medication and gets a look into his future, Lisa takes tap dancing lessons, Marge thinks the new house guest wants to kill her, and Moe lands a soap opera gig after getting plastic surgery. In this season's "Treehouse of Horror" episode, Homer accidentally kills Ned Flanders, Bart and Lisa gain superpowers and save Lucy Lawless, and Homer inadvertantly causes a Y2K apocalypse.

When this show first came on the scene in the 80s it was the complete opposite of everything on television. It was the first prime time cartoon, and the (very) flawed characters were a sharp contrast to the perfect family units featured on every sitcom on every station. This is the series that started the ball rolling for less than perfect families that are now standard. The comedy is original but basic, and relies on some pretty base humour. Still, it's lasted over 20 years so they must be doing something right - or something wrong in the right way!Brilliant! - filmgeek
Say what you may about recent seasons losing their edge, any show that has lasted this long and affected pop culture this deeply deserves unending respect.
The voice-work and talent involved in the writing of this show were beyond compare for its time. It is due to the success of this series that we have 'South Park', 'Family Guy' or any number of animated sitcoms which appeal to adults as well as children (in fact, primarily to adults).
This series is highly recomended for nostalgia value alone, let alone the pleasure of an episode-to-episode basis. The laughs continue - RavenSkies777
The Simpsons season 11 is a barrel full of laughs.
All the episodes in The Simpsons - Season 11 had plots that stood alone and there were no two part episodes in the season. Many of the episodes seemed to start off about one thing before switching over to something totally different that ended up being the main focus of the episode. A few things that had happened in a prior season were mentioned in some episodes, so anyone who hasn't seen the earlier episodes might miss those references.
The last episode of the season, Behind the Laughter, was a bit different. It was done like an episode of Behind the Music, showing how the Simpson family had become famous and then had to deal with all sorts of problems. I thought it was an interesting and entertaining episode.
