Brennan Huff (Will Ferrell), a sporadically employed thirty-nine-year-old who lives with his mother, Nancy. Dale Doback (John C. Reilly), a terminally unemployed forty-year-old who lives with his father, Robert. When Robert and Nancy marry and move in together, Brennan and Dale are forced to live with each other as step brothers. As their narcissism and downright aggressive laziness threaten to tear the family apart, these two middle-aged, immature, overgrown boys will orchestrate an insane, elaborate plan to bring their parents back together. To pull it off, they must form an unlikely bond that maybe, just maybe, will finally get them out of the house.

I can't stress enough how much I loved this movie! Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly make such a tandom in these silly, slapstick type comedies. I literally couldn't stop laughing through the whole movie!
If there was one thing I didn't like about the movie it would probably be the fact that there was a lot of foul language. THIS MOVIE IS NOT FOR KIDS. But other than that, it was really fun to watch.

This movie is pretty crude throughout (there are Will Farrow body parts I could have done without seeing), but if you don't get offended easily there are a lot of very funny moments. The acting is a bit overdone at times but this is typical Will Farrow fare.Step Brothers - vsodhi
Will Ferrell in another slapstick, low-brow, albeit funny story about two 40-year old step brothers who move in together after their single parents elope. If you liked Anchorman, this will be another enjoyable experience. Crude, vulgar, hilarious, and definitely not suited for children.
