Boston Legal: Season 5
In its spectacular fifth and final season, Boston Legal tackles some of today's most inflammatory - and sometimes irreverent - social and moral issues, from teen pregnancy and the death penalty to sex surrogates and Alzheimer's. Now, as Crane, Poole & Schmidt faces financial ruin, its brilliant attorneys face chaotic caseloads filled with malpractice, murder, love and lust. There's a surprise engagement - or two - and, of course, the bittersweet final act of this remarkable series. Starring Emmy Award winners James Spader, Candice Bergen, John Larroquette and William Shatner, Boston Legal remains one of the most vibrant, dramatic, hilarious and consistently brilliant shows on television. Case Closed!

I can't believe this show if off the air! Everything about "Boston Legal" is excellent and there's something in it for everyone watching.
The best part of the series is the friendship between Alan Shore and Denny Crane. Both actors take a fantastic script and play their characters with such sincerity and love, that it's hard to believe that they're not actually friends. This odd coupling is enviable and you look forward to their scenes together.
The supporting cast is excellent and you can't help but laugh out loud as you're watching it, which in itself is rarely found on network TV.Boston (il)Legal(ly) awsome. - funnyme
Highly under-reported and uner-retated in my humble estimation. The mix of comedy and drama is perfect. You gotta love Shatner - I mean, really, the guy's made a career out of being a "has-been". Fodder for his role as Denny Crane. Spader is a still a stunning actor (even is rounding out around the edges as time goes by!). His delivery, mannerisms, posture, voice .... It's all exactly right. He's always engaging, and he and Shatner make awsome on-screen best friends. Balcony scenes that typically close out an episode are always clever. To say nothing of their in-town fishing trips and "sleepovers". Then there's John Laroquette and Candice Bergman - wel - hard to go wrong folks. (And the later-in the series addition of Clarence and Jerry .... well, they're hopelessly engaging. Try it and see!!!!!!
