There isn't much I can say about the series, everyone knows it and you are either a fan or not. This Blu-Ray transfer is truly superb, the video is incredible, the show has never looked this good, and the 7.1 DTS-HD audio track is incredible. This transfer makes the show look and sound better than anything on tv today, and it comes with an enhanced viewing option. I watched both the original and the enhanced mode, the enhanced mode makes the special effects look almost as good as today, though purists will want to watch it in its original 60's era special effects. This show is one of the most exploited shows on VHS, DVD and now Blu-ray, but I can say, the blu-ray s a huge step up from dvd, well worth the price for true fans.Took me back - JSlider
I remember watching this series as a boy eating supper on the floor in front of the TV. Man I loved this show as a child and it turned me to Next Gen, Voyager and Enterprise which were all very good as well. The re-touching through Blu-Ray was excellent and added to the memory. Even if you've seen this 40 years ago show it to your sons and daughters. This series isn't timeless but it's definitely a classic.
