In this hilarious new HBO comedy series from Executive Producers including Will Ferrell, Kenny Powers, a washed-up former Major League Baseball star, is forced to return to his hometown to teach P.E. at his old middle school. While preparing for his triumphant return to the big leagues, Kenny moves in with his brother's family and proves adept at burning every bridge he crosses.

Why would people find this funny? The story is typically American-take an uneducated low-life, add a script full of profanity, mix in some uncultured and boorish behaviour, and top it up with an inane script. Is this what HBO has come to? This is a complete waste of time. The acting is so poor this should qualify for the raspberry awards. Don't waste your time on this.Awesome! - Christob
Danny McBride plays pretty much the worst human being to ever walk the planet, and he’s a fantastic anti-hero. If you’re a fan of HBO adult-type comedies then you’ll love this show.
The character is fun to watch, and the show is good at getting laughs while staying true to the characters. Definitely wait until the kids are in bed before watching this masterpiece.Tragic Comedy At It's Best - Big_J
There are no uplifting giggles here. This is a whole lot of laughing at the expense of Kenny Powers. Danny McBride is one of the funniest men alive and this will show you why. If you have seen Observe and Report and/or Foot Fist Way and liked them well this is for you. Just be clear that humor doesn't come must darker than this.
