Mission: Impossible 2
The world's greatest spy returns in the movie event of the year, M:I-2. Top action director John Woo brings his own brand of excitement to the mission that finds Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) partnering up with the beautiful Nyah Hall (Thandie Newton) to stop renegade agent Sean Ambrose (Dougray Scott) from releasing a new kind of terror on an unsuspecting world. But before the mission is complete, they'll traverse the globe and have to choose between everything they love and everything they believe in.

Enjoyable action movie - snickerdoodle
This was a great and fun action movie - very kliche, but that added to it being funny. The motorcycle chase was exceptional and very entertaining especially since it was completely unrealistic.
The masks helped make the otherwise quite predictable plot somewhat confusing.
Of the three (or is it four now)? in the series, this was one of the better ones I thought.
Enjoy!John Wu, Guns, Surprisingly few injuries - outlander78
Mission Impossible 2 is a significant improvement over the first movie in the franchise, but still a flawed action movie. I enjoyed the standard action movie staples – a superhuman, James Bond type combatting a morally-bankrupt but otherwise equally skilled opponent, and a love triangle subplot between the two men and a beautiful woman who is of course tied up in the main plot.
The flaw I am referring to is a complete lack of wounds. In Star Wars, with laser weapons, it is understandable that people can be shot and not bleed. However, in a John Wu movie (with all of the gunplay that implies), it is inconceivable that no one bled. I am not bloodthirsty, and welcome movies without major fight scenes and gun battles, but if you are going to put lots of gunplay on the screen, you have to show the aftermath. Clearly, the results of shooting people were left out to get the lower rating (AA), but I'm not sure this helps the kids out anyway – they may be left thinking that guns don't cause massive trauma.
If you can get past the oddity of damage-free gunplay, this is a fun action movie to watch, with lots of great set-pieces.My least favorite MIssion Impossible film so far. - moviegenius
I watched this movie with my cousins not too long ago and I have to admit, it was not as good as the third one. The reason I didn't like it as much as the third movie was that they were just spying on the guy for most of the movie and in the last 50 minutes of the film, he finally gets into a fight. Yeah, Thandie Newton was pretty, but this is an action movie! This isn't some film where you just are watching some guy go to horse races and plan to kill people. We want explosions, gun fights, fist fights and deaths! What bothered my brother and I was that they said they had music like Limp Bizkit, Godsmack, Rob Zombie and Foo Fighters as the soundtrack. No they didn't! Anyways, it's not that it was a bad movie, but it wasn't a great movie. This is really just a film to rent, not buy, You want a good Mission Impossible flim? Rent the third one. No, wait, buy it.
