Knight Rider: New Era - ezza
I have to say, the original Knight Rider was huge when I was growing up. They had the toys, the car, everything was Knight Rider and David Hasselhoff.
Bringing back an old TV series is always a dangerous task, especially when popular or cult classic. But I have to say I was as disappointed as I expected to be. I also like how they are not really re-making the series but adding on to the original. I don't want to say too much too ruin the first season, but I am pleasantly surprised. The car is absolutely sweet and the acting isn't terrible but it does have its corny moments.
Great show to pick up and start watching!

Although this series has a super technological wondercar and its voice and artificial intelligence personality is excellent, not to mention all the cool transformations and tech it can do, yet the series is set at a teenage level, with many human counterparts involved who are making jokes of and having implied sex, giving positive affirmations of pornography and a strong male/female "strutting their stuff" leader of the pack/peacock mentality. I guess I had hoped for Marty McFly's Doc from "Back To The Future" for the mad scientist and more cool and intellectual than juvenile hormone-driven action. The action scenes work well, the talent chosen for the title roles are adequate.. it is just rather childish for anyone beyond the "teenage rebellion years" mentality. Some of the storylines work quite well and keep your interest, but the intervening "relationship" scenes are so laden with immorality and implied filth I find it difficult to take in any quantity and would not recommend it for any in the youth years which could be impressionable. A popcorn bowl B movie series if ever there was one in my view, I would rate it a barely passable or passably adequate three star.
