My favourite Pixar film - colinbrain
This film is more than likely my top Pixar film, despite them all being varying levels of brilliant. Pixar has a knack for taking something very simple (such as monsters in the closet) and developing larger-than-life stories to support them and really make them believable. The characters in Monsters Inc. are top notch, from the good to the downright awful. I loved them all! (and love to hate some of them, which really makes a villain for me) The film is roughly a decade old, as I write this, but it still looks stunningly beautiful, albeit less realistic/intensely detailed as later productions. The film delivers laugh-out-loud comedy for both adults and kids. I highly suggest this film to everyone. 5/5Pixar does it again - icedevilz2
Monsters, Inc. tends to get lost in the Pixar shuffle. Bracketed by Toy Story 2 and Finding Nemo, it is their third lowest ranked film on IMDB (ahead of Cars and A Bug's Life). I found in rewatching Monsters, Inc. some probably seven or eight years since I last saw it, it has lost none of its charm. I find myself now doubting its place in the Pixar heirarchy. I found it more entertaining than Ratatouille or The Incredibles (both excellent films) and I was never as big a Nemo fan as everyone else. This isn't Toy Story, nor is it comparable to WALL-E or Up (I don't think it's meant to be) but it is a superb film. And unlike Toy Story and A Bug's Life, it really doesn't show its animated age (the complexity of their animation began to change with Toy Story 2) and it looks superb on Blu-ray. I will definitely pick this up for my collection. It is true that Pixar doesn't make a bad film, but this is better than most.A Hit - BluesHound
A great movie my whole family enjoyed. Looks great in blu ray you wont be dissapointed. Pixar certainly knows how to make an animated movie. This and Cars are family favorites, do yourself a favor even if you dont have kids and give this one a try. The cast of characters and humor within it will keep you entertained throughout.
