A classic firemen movie - imagination201
That movie was awesome when it came out, and it still holds its own really well on the screen after all this time.
Especially considering that those aren't CGI flames but the real thing around the actors!!!
The intrigue is also captivating and, if it wasn't for the unending family conflict with the brothers, it would be a perfect movie.
Still, a must see at least once in your life!Really good! - Poet
I can't believe that I hadn't seen this one yet, in 2009. Years ago, a good friend of mine was raving about this movie, I guess he wanted to become a fireman.
Anyways, this movie is filled with good performances by De Niro, Kurt Russell and Donald Sutherland. The latter, of which i was never a fan, was particularly great in this one. He showed some depth that I had never seen in him.
Definitely a must for all action movie fans. The fire seems to be treated like a character and its appearance is surreal all through the movie. There are a few cliche spots, but it doesn't drag the film down a bit.Great suspense - NearNorth
This movie weaves a sibling rivalry story of two brothers working in the same fire hall with a great suspense story of fires that seem to be deliberately started by the same person. It's filled with action, but beware, some of the shots are a little graphic (although mercifully brief). Keeps you on edge a great deal of the time. And the fire investigation takes a surprising twist that fuels the suspense.
