I found this film interesting and I suspect that had I seen when it came out it would have been more so, but I found some of the characters a bit wooden and decided that I really didn't need to see the whole series to realize who the bad guys are! I might be wrong and would like to hear from anyone who has seen it, but I wasn't so interested that I really cared about the ending! If The White House Calls tell them I'm in the Field... - BIKO
I've only seen disc one, episodes 1-3, but I'm blown away- this is great stuff! The plot is a little convoluted for me but I'll work it out I hope. Bob Peck commands your attention by doing so little, and Joe Don Baker is wonderfully over the top- the scene with the passed-out CIA agents with Peck and Baker singing a Willie Nelson song is absolutely heart-stopping- a moment in time only movies can show you, utterly memorable. "Old Slow- hands" Eric Clapton brings another edge with his haunting music... on to disc two! I can't wait...So I saw the rest- so sad- why so sad? Because so true. Few movies made like it now. JD Baker ended up looking like Heath Ledger as the Joker " To know is to Die ".. do see it.Better than Mel - Woody2
This is the original concept. So, if you are looking to rent Mel Gibson's recent film- go for this. More tightly written, better acting, more to think about. It remains very relevant, even after 25 years! Hollywood just does not have the touch for many political thrillers. Worth watching again.
