This movie is "Hayao Miyazaki"'s BEST movie of all time !!! From this movie, I fell in love with this movie and I quickly got into his world of animation. His animation has a different story than any other hero type of story. His story will take you to kid's world imagination and grows from there.A true family film - bd--
This film is a wonderful classic and easily enjoyed by all ages. My 3 year old love love loves it. She now pretends to see Totoros everywhere, and don't get me started on the catbus.
I really recommend this as a first or early movie for small children. It's fantastical and non-violent; a warm family film with a happy ending. I think it was one of my daughter's first movies.
As Miyazaki films go, it's one of the first and still one of the best. Spirited Away is wonderful too, but a bit scary. After Totoro, I'd go with Kiki's Delivery Service or Ponyo next.A simple an beautiful tale... - Frazham
My Neighbor Totoro is a very simple and well executed tale about love.
Beautifully animated (in the traditional pre-digital style) MNT provides really amazing backdrops upon which to set a small tale about love and loss with a little bit of Studio Ghibly whimsy thrown in for good measure.
This is a great story to watch as a family, an engaging (and simple) story for kids and an equally mesmerising ecperience for the adults.
Well worth watching!
