Being a fan of the books, a huge fan actually, I was VERY reluctant to see the show. Often movies do a great job of ruining the books for me. But I gave this a chance. It was different. Definitly not the same as the books but the storyline seemed to function on its own accord. Chracters took on new storylines and really it was quite goodLove true blood - Truebloodfan
Definately an addicting show and well worth zipping.. startks off where season 1 left off perfectly, wit.h some new surprises. When I started watching Season 1, I found myself unable to stop until I reached the end -- which surprised me immensely, since I could never quite decide if I actually liked the show. Great concept, edgy and sexy... but I find almost all the characters vaguely irritating, including Sookie. Nonetheless, I was hooked from start to finish.
Season 2 has a lot of the same qualities as the first season but without the desperate need to get to the end. After the first two discs, I put it aside. I'll go back eventually -- and may be pleasantly surprised -- but feel no rush to get to it.
