I'm still trying to get the dust out of my eyes - Kobzar
I love films that take me to places I've never been, so I was interested in this Aussie movie. Well, it does give you a taste of life down under--the dryness, the macho culture, the strange version of English (I think it's English) the people down there speak. Plus the movie offers interesting characters, particularly the two half sisters. Both are strong-willed, brave young women who know what they want, and both are very, well, easy on the eyes. The men don't come off too well in this picture, but the women rise to heroic status as they struggle against greedy financiers, anti-female prejudices, Australia's merciless environment and their inter-personal conflicts. I found this movie to be more enjoyable than I'd anticipated. Oh, and the photography was wonderful.
