Batman! - V4D3R
I really enjoyed this movie, obviously since Batman is my favorite superhero. Gonna try to not be biased. This was a great story and it didn't hold anything back to make sure it told the story right. I'll just say I didn't find Joker to be menacing probably due to his voice, but the opening scene was really well done. Maybe I'm too used to Mark Hamill's and Heath Ledger's Jokers more than anything, but it doesn't matter. Very emotional movie and enjoyed every minute of it.One of the Best DC Movies - Mookie
I have to admit I wasn't thrilled with the subject matter (or the change in voice casting) but there is no doubt - this is one of the best DC movies put out yet. It probably helped that I hadn't read the graphic novel on which it is based so it was more fresh than New Frontier (a GN which I have read dozens of times). But what really helped was to have Red Hood - the villain who thinks he's a hero. Having a grey character like that allowed the writer to have more fun than a straight forward Batman versus villain.
Also - the action sequences were AMAZING. Too many times action sequences bore me to death because it is just a bunch of fast edits with hits and kicks. The ones in this movie actually kept you interested.
The extra on the blu ray (Jonah Hex - was also nice - well animated - not much to the story.
The other extras (Robin/Jason Todd)were also nicely done.
Overall, if you are a fan of the DC animated films you will ove this one (especially after that drek Crisis on Two Earths - bleh).DC does it again - TheKeywork
DC has produced another fantastic direct to DVD film with under the Red Hood. Make no mistake, this movie is not for the kiddies. The violence level is as brutal as it can possibly be for a PG-13 rated cartoon. People are set on fire, heads are cut off and the Joker is more chilling than ever.
And being a huge Fan of Kevin Conroy and Mark Hammill, I gotta say Bruce Greenwood and John Dimaggio did a fantastic job.
