House, M.D.: Season 6
Get ready for a full dose of medical mysteries with 21 episodes of the riveting drama series, House. Hugh Laurie is joined by James Earl Jones (Star Wars), Laura Prepon (That '70s Show) and David Strathairn (The Bourne Ultimatum) in guest appearances as he returns to his Golden Globe-winning and Primetime Emmy Award-nominated role as Dr. Gregory House. In this brilliant sixth season, House finds himself in an uncomfortable position—away from the examination room. As he works to regain his license and his life, his coworkers deal with the staff shakeups, moral dilemmas and their own tricky relationships with House. And when House returns more obstinate than ever, Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital will never be the same again.

Typical scenario – a patient appears with an unusual set of symptoms and it’s up to House and his team to figure out what’s wrong. (That typically happens in the last 15 minutes of the show…) It’s unlikely the average person will figure out what’s wrong before House does. While I find it highly unusual that a real doctor, no matter how good, would get away with being as much of a jackass as House does (not to mention that his coworkers put up with it instead of throwing it back at him) there is some interesting merit. If you like medical dramas and jackasses you’ll probably be happy with this series. The brilliant, likeable, obnoxious, jerk returns!! - ShowBill1
There have been very few shows that have held up for 6 seasons like House,M.D. I believe this is the finest prime time medical drama ever and one of the most innovative, entertaining TV shows you could watch. I understand it would not have the soap opera appeal of other great medical shows like Grey’s Anatomy. There is, however; no other character on TV likes Hugh Laurie’s portrayal of House.
Season 6 opens with a 2 hour episode that has our main character, House, finally having to face his demons and battle to get rid of his addiction to Vicodin. We get to see a very different side of our favorite doctor. This is a very unique and interesting lead to the season.
This season follows our main character House, as he battles back from his mental state and drug addiction. The season goes more into the personal lives of the main characters and the writers do an excellent job creating some unique character episodes .I will not go into the season summary as you can read that elsewhere. I will just say that House comes back better than ever!
I watch and enjoy a lot of good TV (on DVD). I can honestly say there is, and possibly never has been, a lead character like House, played masterfully by Hugh Laurie. He should have won almost, every Globe and Emmy, every season, for male lead. Many TV critics agree with this. His character Dr. House is the most obnoxious, wisecracking, rude, sarcastic, selfish, miserable jerk you could meet. He is at the same time; the most brilliant, creative, funny, likeable genius ever. Give this show a chance; I think you will agree, House is unique and entertaining TV at its best.bit the same... - roxybabe39
I have to admit I am a huge house fan! I have watched it since the first season and have been obsessed with it. However, it might just be me but I find that now it isn't as great as I remember. I do not watch it on T.V. anymore and wouldn't ever buy it
