Comic Book Science Fiction - newdaysof
Although many good actors and crew worked on the show, the stories and plotlines leave something to be desired.
The stories are science fiction and usually involve lots of violence and bizarre situations and it's hard to get engaged with the characters and situations. The stories may have worked in a Marvel comic book but on the screen, it just doesn't work.
The episodes are shot in British Columbia, Canada so it's interesting to see some of the locations they shoot in, but it's frustrating that all the stories are US-based. This is yet another example of Canada not existing in movie-land - all the characters, stories and locations have to be based in the US. The money handled by the characters is US currency, the locations are usually New York or some other US state. Why can't some of the stories take place in Canada? It's like we don't exist. The Australians and the British have their own movie industries that tell stories based in their own country, but Canada continues to be shut out in favour of the US 99% of the time.
