Superman/Batman: Apocalypse
DC Universe Animated Original Movie
When a spaceship splashes down in Gotham Harbor, Batman and Superman encounter a mysterious Kryptonian with powers as great as Superman’s. When Darkseid gets wind of this, he has the Kryptonian abducted and brought under his control on Apokolips. It’s up to Batman and Superman to retrieve the Kryptonian, forcing them to infiltrate Darkseid’s hostile world where super powerful threats lurk around every corner. This story is based on Jeff Loeb’s popular mini-series from the Superman / Batman comic books.

An okay diversion - Mookie
This was an okay film but it isn't a very interesting story and the animation (while competent) isn't one of the best we've seen. The stand out scene (for me) was Wonder Woman and Big Barda battling the Furies. If all the action sequences were that well plotted and interesting to follow then it would have been a much better film. Instead we get the typical Darkseid fights Superman slug fest for the big battle scene. One major thing that bothered me was when the team visits Darkseid's home planet it feels very small. Batman only takes on 2 tanks and Superman marches right up to Darkseid. Where are the armies? Where are all the people? Overall, I am getting tired of Darkseid being the big bad villain. And the Supergirl story arc was only ho hum...not anything that new or terribly interesting. Nothing that wrong about this film - just not a lot of things that made it stand out.Pretty good - usernameya
I felt the ending went on a bit long, as in the could have ended it sooner but didn't. But the characters stay pretty true to their form. Supergirl is introduced in this story and she wasn't completely exciting but not a bore either. I always find it funny of how they have to try to match up Batman in power when compared to the heroes with actual powers. After all, he is just a guy in a bat costume, but he hold his own again in this tale.Okay Movie... - whp123
This movie is OK but it is definitely not great as the subject material is just pretty standard fare. The Crisis on Two Earths had a much better story and better action sequences but weaker voice acting by Batman.
Here Superman/Batman Apocalypse had better voice acting but most of the action sequences were pretty lame except for the fight scenes incolving the Furies.
