While raising two teens, she pursues her original career as a defense attorney - a path she gave up when she became a politician's wife. Joining her former law school classmate's firm, Florrick's litigation skills are put to the test as she re-enters the courtroom after thirteen years and faces cutthroat 20-something rivals. The Good Wife Season 1 - Demitri55
This show started off pretty slow at first. It was a case of the week show that the main character always been on the right side figuring out the angle to the trial at the very last minute. Routine television stuff at first. By the end I thought the show was taking quite a few more risks by showing more conflicting sides to the characters and giving us more cases with moral gray areas.LOVE IT - piph
Julianna Marguilies is wonderful; a real interpretor of strength, courage, fear, poise, wisdom, intelligence. Everything that creates a strong and viable character and I'm so glad she's a she. Oh and not to mention her fabulous beauty, like Snow White. Wow and her side kick ... is it Christine Baranski? you know the one without guile, smart as a whip and willing to take amazing chances - oh yes, and she's a she. Happy International Day of Women - 100 years March 8th.Fantastic - eli_quincy
"The Good Wife" is in strange territory for a CBS drama. Where that network typically peddles shallow procedurals, "The Good Wife" has elements of that -- each episode devotes most of its time to the case-of-the-week -- but balances it with deeper characterizations and some longer-lasting plotlines. The show is at its best when it pursues those overarching threads, but even its weekly cases are pretty interesting and the performances are uniformly excellent.
