Community: Season 1
Smooth talking ex-lawyer Jeff Winger has got a lot to learn, and he's come to Greendale Community College to avoid every bit of it. Unfortunately for Jeff, he's not the only misfit to enroll here, and people in need have an odd way of finding each other. First, his fake study group becomes a real study group. Then, over the course of a strange year - from Mexican Halloween to the final 'Tranny Dance' - including bad trips, great debates, drunk dials, food fights, epic paintball battles and sinister chicken finger conspiracies - the group becomes a family, something Jeff never wanted, but clearly needs.
Starring Joel McHale (The Soup), Ken Jeong (The Hangover) and Emmy Award winner Chevy Chase.

I had heard so much about this sitcom. Perhaps my expectations were a little too high. It came off like a series of jokes. I just wasn't pulled in by the characters.
Family sitcoms remain more compelling to me because the relationships in a family are more intimate than those of a bunch of classmates and teachers thrown together at a community college.
Perhaps it will improve as the years go on and relationships deepen? From watching the first disk, I don't care enough to stick with it and find out.
I won't be watching any more.Community: Season 1 - Buddy_Grant
Some love this series with a passion, while others just don't seem to get it. One thing for certain is that it's not designed to have mass appeal like old comedies Cheers, MASH, or Mary Tyler Moore. Maybe if you took only the most outrageous bit characters from those shows and combined them with some of the more outrageous lead actors (like Lucille Ball), you might end up with a show like Community. It moves at a frenetic, machine gun pace, and rewinding on your PVR or DVD is sometimes needed if you want to catch all the jokes.
I would say if your humor tastes appreciate "Arrested Development" and "Seinfeld" then you would probably appreciate Community. The characters have depth and grow, but every one of them has a tendency to be ridiculous.Best Show on TV - amyslik
I just came across the show accidentally one night while looking for something to watch. Boy am I glad I did. This is such a smart, fun, well-written comedy. Every single character has great storylines and excellent writing. There are many laugh out loud moments. And season 2 was just as good if not better. You should definitely check this one out.
