V: Season 1
We are of peace. Always.
They arrive. Earth's first alien encounter begins when huge motherships appear over 29 major cities. The visitors - the Vs - are human-like beings who know our languages and bring awesome gifts of healing and technology. People everywhere welcome them as saviors. But a fledgling resistance is on the rise, determined to reveal the shocking truth. Among that cadre of heroes: an FBI agent whose teenage son is drawn to the beauty and promise of the aliens, a pro-human V and his unsuspecting girlfriend pregnant with their child and a priest conflicted between his faith and what the fight for freedom requires. Their stories and more intertwine in the 3-disc, 12-episode season one of this amazing series combining sci-fi thrills with dazzling technical virtuosity. Adventure awaits.

REPTILIANS NEVER CHANGE - GET REAL - VINDICATOR
The one thing I hate about the V - and this one is no different, although maybe even more blatant - is the reptilian/human coupling/mating.
As if Satan's forces have a '5th column' that actually seek to help humans.
GET REAL.
Beyond that, the deception and conspiracies and practised 'emotions' of the 'bad' reptilians is excellent.
Too bad they didn't have the scientists demonized rounded up in the early episodes as in the first V series. That really struck home. They demonize and persecute/eliminate those who can 'see'. They always do that. They, meaning the dark spirits/souls.A step down from the original - eli_quincy
It's strange that just as serialized storytelling is gaining momentum on television, this new adaptation of V would be so tentative. The first season seems caught between trying to constantly appease newcomers and trying to stitch together some kind of overarching mythology. As a result, the show doesn't really hit on either level. But the cast and crew say they've learned from their mistakes and are promising a superior second season.
