Amazing Series - MFisher
I am usually not into dramas but this series was incredible. I love the story of King Henry so when this came out I jumped on board. I think that it was a fairly accurate depiction of the reign of Henry 8. I also loved how they towards the end when he is getting older, they actually made him look as unappealing as he actually was!Poor Kitty Howard! - hilkayaker
Wow does Henry tire of his wives!! He was so horrible that no one (apparently) even had the courage to tell him he was dying! I thought they did a better job this season showing him getting older and dying. He was still to handsome and thin, but still not qute the way he was. I loved the portrayl of his wives and how they visited him before he died. Mary stopped being as sweet and innocent as they had always portrayed her and started to look more like what she becomes: Bloody Mary!!
So sad the story is done. It was an amazing series and it is too bad it is finished. I would have loved for them to have continued and showed more of the royal life; they still have Edward's rein, Lady Jane Grey the Queen for 9 days, Queen "Bloody" Mary and Queen Elizbeth's golden age. Would love to see the show move on to them!!4th season losing its way - DMCA
I enjoyed the initial seasons of The Tudors, but at this point the episodes have lost their way. Now the series relies on blatant titillation as entertainment, rather than focusing on good storytelling. The first seasons had a strong focus on political alliances, and the clash with Rome, making for memorable episodes. That is now gone.
