The Twilight Saga: Eclipse
It all begins... with a choice.
In the third chapter of Stephenie Meyer's phenomenal Twilight series, Bella Swan is surrounded by danger as Seattle is hit by a string of murders and an evil vampire continues her quest for revenge. In the midst of it all, Bella is forced to choose between her love, Edward Cullen, and her friend, Jacob Black - knowing that her decision may ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf.

The third installment in the Twilight franchise is a better production than the prior two films, but suffers from a languishing story. For the entire film, Bella and Edward debate Bella's mortality (or future lack thereof) and Edward and Jacob continue their alpha male pursuit of Bella's affection with no further resolution. The only part of the story that moves along is the impending battle between the Cullens and the vendetta seeking vampire Victoria – but, is this what anyone cares about? The special effects have greatly improved with the inclusion of the werewolf CGI and the action scenes are much more suspenseful. However, in the end, I hate the thought of sitting through two more films for the story to be resolved.Predictable and bad acting - matheos
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is a notable improvement compared to New Moon, but the three main actors (Kristen Stewart "the unexpressive", Robert Pattinson "the constipated half smile" and Taylor Lautner "the baby face muscle man") are still not up to the task. The computer animated wolves and environment looks too perfect. The fight scenes look artificial. At the end of the movie, you feel like nothing has really happened and the main actors have not evolved.Teen love - imagination201
I guess that is why it quickly got boring until the battle finally took place. I mean... I want to be a vampire, I love you/I don't want you to make that sacrifice, I love you/Don't make that mistake, you wouldn't have to change for me.
Yup, that pretty much summarizes the dialogues between the three protagonists... the interminable moaning of indecision/arguing.
And the wolf that is always bare-chested, almost to the point of it becoming an inside joke...
I liked the premise of the universe at first, but with this third instalment, my more rational mind is beginning to ask for a little more substance than what has been offered so far...
But that's just me, and I'm clearly not in agreement with the majority of those who turn this movie into a monetary success.
