Treme: Season 1
Won't Bow. Don't Know How.
From the creators of The Wire comes a new series about adversity and the human spirit, set in New Orleans, in the aftermath of the greatest man-made disaster in American history. Ordinary people - musicians, chefs, residents - find themselves clinging to a unique culture and wondering if the city that gave birth to that way of life still has a future. Welcome to Treme.

This is a great time spent watching and hearing
what life can be like in New Orleans, post
Katrina. The action is interesting and i do feel
like i would want to watch the other episodes to
find out what happens to the characters. It is a
different storyline from The Wire, so if you expect
more of the same, it's just not like that. Life in
New Orleans is unique due to its history and heritage. All the problems are presented in a
very real way. A good snapshot of what it must be
like, plus you get the music and the food, which is a big part of life in the Big Easy. I would
recommend it to anyone, any adult.Watchable but just three stars. - Odiepup
This series is watchable but I didn't find it terribly exciting or gripping. I liked the music more than the characters and the story itself.Unlike David Simon's The Wire, I didn't find the characters all that interesting and the series just seemed to ramble on without making much of a point or coming to a satisfactory conclusion.Great Series - Heavy
The intense drama series "Treme" is one of the best shows out there.
And there is a good reason why some of the best dramas on television end up on HBO.
This is an endlessly rich series coming from the genius of David Simon, who has re-team with "The Wire" writer-producer Eric Overmyer to re-create New Orleans,a city in chaos three months after it was nearly washed away by Hurricane Katrina. Like his previous efforts on "The Wire",Simon's brilliant five-year epic about Baltimore was told mainly through the eyes of its most beleaguered(and beleaguering)citizens,"Treme" teems with authentic life.
