Good Take on the Book - DaxKP
The director of this movie managed to capture the dark and dreary tone of the book perfectly. For those that did not read the book, I could see how it might seem long and dragged out, but it is really meant to give you that feel of how real it is for the characters to be an essential part of this war, no longer having protection from the school, and struggling to figure out what to do while constantly on the run.
Overall, it was a solid portrayal of the book, and an essential addition to the series.A Writer In Action - KevinJaques
I think I saw this in 3D. That was back December 3, 2010. It was dark and seemed out of focus. But I think I liked the 3D.
The plot was had holes the characters acted erratically. Suddenly a trusted companion would throw a dramatic fit and do something terrible, then later, for an equal lack of justification, redeem themselves.
Despite it all, I still found it moving just because I know the characters so well by now.
Here's what slew me. The characters didn't know what to do, so they ran off and sat around for weeks (or what it months?) thinking. Now that's just what a writer like Rowlings would do. That's probably what she DOES do. A writer in action! Or inaction! More occupations don't offer that luxury. Certainly when I don't know what to do, I still must do something. I find a way to eliminate the question or to change the timeline.as the book - JOE52
The movie is like the book. A bit of action and intrigue but a long time of watching Harry running after his tail by not knowing where to go. If you have seen the other Harry Potter you'd like to watch this one two. The images are beautiful and colorful. Can't wait for the final part. I recommend this movie to anybody that as read or not the book.
