2000 Year Old Man: Carl Reiner And Mel Brooks
"There are certain moments I'll always remember - my first baseball game in Yankee Stadium, my first kiss, and the first time I listened to 'The 2000 Year Old Man'. It changed my life." -Billy Crystal
Ever wonder what life was like 2000 years ago? In this animated funny historical parody animated by Leo Slaking, Mel Brooks portrays a 2000-year-old man being interviewed by Carl Reiner. Brooks pontificates on the origins of such mundane things as singing, marriage, the legend of Robin Hood, and Shakespeare. This truly brilliant animated classic brings tears to the eyes and is credited with being one of the all-time great comedic pieces by comedians such as Whoopi Goldberg, Richard Lewis, Billy Crystal, and Bill Cosby. It's a one-of-a-kind by two of the funniest men in entertainment.

This is truly a waste of time! I love Brooks and Reiner..but this does not live up to the hype. if you blink, you're viewing the closing credits!Even for the early 80's the animation isn't much to look at.This was mave for tv and it shows.Definitely lacking and not worth the time.2000 Year Old Man: Carl Reiner And Mel Brooks - Thumbs_Up
This is a short animated comedy lasting 26 minutes. Make the popcorn before it starts, otherwise you may only have enough time to catch the closing credits. Billed as a seemingly life-changing comedic experience by the likes of Whoopi Goldberg and Billy Crystal, I expected more. It was amusing and it was entertaining, but certainly not gut-wrenching funny by any stretch of opinion.Ho hum - Crow
I was expecting more from this. The animation is quite feeble and does nothing to contribute to the comedic experience. The piece is entertaining enough, but as another reviewer pointed out, you'd be better off just listening to the radio play. Don't waste your time...
