This movie offers great action packed adventure. If you were to watch this and find no redeeming qualities I would question your capacity to enjoy a solid action movie. Kevin Costner arguably was born to play the bad guy role and certainly would have proven hard to replace in this movie. For you Costner haters there are no bison in this movie and bad Kevin put “good” Kevin to bed in this performance. Kurt Russell played what could only amount to a predictable role, well suited to his acting style and discography. Action lovers will watch this movie more than once in their lives.Uh, should I admit liking this in public? - altoblues
This is one of those movies that's so bad, it manages to be good. Over the top and campy but with great action sequences and surprisingly captivating characterization. I'm not a big Kurt Russell fan, and have often though how cool this movie would have been if Costner had the Russell role and someone had cast Nicolas Cage in the Costner - Elvis role. Surprisingly dark film, and so absurd it works.B+ - RPM-
lots of action and lots of elvis in this one... This is one of my favourite roles of Kevin Costner's. He does a great job as a villain. The story may be a little too long, but all in all it's a very good movie. Great idea too rob a casino disguised as Elvis during an Elvis convention !!
