8 Heads In A Duffel Bag
Get Ready For Cut-Throat Comedy!
The producers who brought you Dumb And Dumber and stars Joe Pesci (My Cousin Vinny), Kristy Swanson (Dude, Where's My Car?) and David Spade ("Just Shoot Me") offer up this "deliciously dark and wildly hilarious" (Jeanne Wolf's Hollywood) black comedy that'll leave you rolling - with laughter.
Hit man Tommy Spinelli (Pesci) has twenty-four hours to deliver a bag of eight "former associates" to an angry mob boss in San Diego. But when a fellow traveler, Charlie (Andy Comeau), mistakenly takes the bag, the heads go to Baja...and Tommy just goes ballistic! While the hit man desperately tries to find Charlie, Charlie desperately tries to find a way to get the bag's horrific contents back across the border. Who's gonna wind up with the heads? And who's just gonna lose his? Only one thing's for sure...they'll both have to use their noggins to get out of this one!

Packs in laugh after laugh, skillful filming, but a bit touchy for some audiences - Porkchop
" 8 Heads in a Duffel Bag (1997), a film from Tom Schulman, in some
ways, is an acquired taste for much of the larger audience, but in
others, is a movie that "preaches to the choir" very well, for fans
of the talented and legendary actor that is Joe Pesci.
Let there be no doubt, that Pesci packs in laugh after laugh, in
many instances, helped along by supporting actors in various
situations, often laugh-out-loud in fact. The cast comprises Andy
Comeau (a kind of young John Cusack clone) and Kristy Swanson
(playing the attractive young woman.)
The filming is skillfully done, with the action always on the move,
whether it's in the Nevada desert, or in indoor shots as well
...the camera work becomes transparent and invisible to the funny
dialogues and interactions, the slick visuals and overall work.
Perhaps more could have been done in the music department, although
tastes vary widely in an audience, and the product perhaps held
back to appeal to a wider general audience.
Admittedly, the movie hinges on the preposterous, nonsensical
...exaggerated moments ...to reach the lighter side of the
audience, sometimes, with overdone situations.
Perhaps more attention could have been made to bleep out some
language said during a few tense moments, and also, to make less
predictable the "tough guy" demeanor of Pesci, too invulnerable at
times, to connect with the audience on other levels, for example.
Overall, a nutty film worth renting or buying, slapstick-style.Review - 8 Heads - maw-
A very funny screwball comedy. When medical student Charlie's luggage gets accidentally switched with a mafia gangster's bag, which happens to contain 8 severed heads, the chase is on! Maybe it's a little predictable, but it's fun. Save it for a night when you just want to kick back and relax with a few laughs.the head in the bag - grr-
the story is basically following this bag of heads around from one place to another its funny and keeps you interested the whole way through.joe pesci is probably the best actor as a tough guy and mr spade plays a good wuss in the show.dont let eight heads in the bag bother you its not gorey its a fun movie to watch.
