A Walk To Remember
It all comes down to who's by your side.
Love brings together what peer pressure and lifestyles seek to keep apart in this coming-of-age story based on a best seller by Nicholas Sparks (The Notebook) and directed by Adam Shankman (The Wedding Planner). Multiplatinum recording star Mandy Moore plays Jamie, a preacher's daughter whose self-confidence doesn't depend on the opinions of others. Shane West (TV's Once And Again) plays Landon, who's skating through high school on looks and bravado. But when events thrust him into Jamie's world, he begins an unexpected journey he'll never forget. Trust. Hope. Goals. Faith. Unconditional love. They're the remarkable steps to life changed - and of A Walk To Remember.

As others have mentioned, the movie is a bit hard to get into at the beginning, but it did draw me in after about 20 minutes. I'm glad I stuck through the slow start. I really enjoyed watching the transformation of Dalton from a bully into a caring, thoughtful, and compassionate person.Weepy Love Story - 0930tracey
Having read the book before I saw the movie, I expected a teeny bit more. But only a teeny bit. I really enjoyed this. Mandy Moore gets on my nerves a little, but the story is good. Outcast attracts the popular boy, boy falls for outcast, who has secret, etc. You will definately need a tissue, or two. I recommend this for date night, or girls night.Enjoyable pablum - Virtual_Cinephile
The story of Landon's coming of age and transformation into manhood through encounter with Jamie, his first love, pleases.
This is a tale of impending grace, requiring Landon's deep personal change, from an immature wreckless youth to an adult who can live and love, experiencing life's sweeping passions and agonies. We watch him emerge from bitterness as he falls into the personna of Jamie, who flowers under the attention ultimately given by him.
Perhaps in the end this is a tale of hope, demonstrating how we can pass through each others lives with grace, bringing a miracle, each to the other, if we so much as open ourselves to possibilities.
