Addicted To Love
A Comedy About Lost Loves And Last Laughs.
Meg Ryan and Matthew Broderick take a funny look at love's obsessive side as Maggie and Sam, teaming for revenge when their exes (Kelly Preston and Tcheky Karyo) team for romance. Sam simply wants his girlfriend back. Maggie wants to get back at her old flame. So all over New York's SoHo, they unleash their diabolical plot. If successful, the two who spurned them will be hapless, hopeless, loveless. And if Cupid has his way, Maggie and Sam just might go from a jilted Who's Through to a romantic Who's Who.

This movie was a good depiction of exadurated jealously at it's worst! Once I got past the fact that the 2 of them just seem to take over a building with no reprocussions, I was able to enjoy the hijinx. It was good for a night in where you don't want to think too much..! :)oddly funny - Katisha
I wasn't expecting a great deal from this film, either. Maybe that's the key to enjoying it? It wasn't as creepy as I thought it might be, and it was fun seeing Meg Ryan playing a rather tough female, rather than just sweet. No denying it's peculiar, though.Different take on Rom/Com formula. - cathyottawa
Wow, I had just the opposite experience of LindaS. I went into this movie with low expectations, and came away pleasantly surprised.
This is an unconventional love story, centered on four people, madly in love couple Linda & Anton, and their ex's - Maggie & Sam (Ryan & Broderick).
The beginning is cliche on purpose; we're seeing how Sam idealizes his relasionship with Linda, so that his later mania makes sense.
Maggie is a tough chick who just wants revenge. It's a departure for Ryan, and she does it well.
Sam & Maggie form a friendship of sorts, based on their respective stalking of their former flames.
The movie manages to make you feel empathy for all the characters - you feel for Linda & Anton, as the acts of revenge inflicted upon them become too harsh; and yet you maintain empathy for Maggie & Sam, who are stuck in a pit of despair.
I didn't find it cliche at all. Both romances are totally believable. I liked it a lot.
