Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever
Your most dangerous enemies are the friends you've double crossed.
It's the ultimate in infiltration. The maximum in lethalness. Super-operatives Ecks and Sever both want to get their hands on a newly developed, micro-robotic assassination device. But each spy finds something blocking the way. Something named Ecks. Or something named Sever.
Antonio Banderas and Lucy Liu go ballistic as foes destined- if they survive their personal war- to take on the forces pitting them against each other. Hollywood first timer Kaos directs, orchestrating a bullet ballet of action that includes hand combat, wall shredding street battles, even a runaway bus that flips on its side, splits in two and skids along in flames with Ecks aboard! A ride like this waits for no one. Hop on!

Bad, yet I loved it - HelexraAscianti
Make no mistake about it, this movie is utter trash. It has insufferably stupid dialog, terrible acting, terrible directing, a subplot which makes almost no sense, stupid character decisions, 'stormtrooper aim' and a bad guy who to show just how bad he is, wears a fedora and walks through fog-filled parks and warehouses.
It has almost no redeeming qualities except to have the viewer enjoy picking apart all the various plot holes and terrible decisions.
The two main actors were barely used, and it seemed that half the movie showed them walking slowly away from explosions.
Bottom line: Only watch if you like watching bad movies. If you do, there will be a lot to like. Otherwise it's just 'everything explodes because explosions are awesome' + 'slow motion everything!'
*non-plot related spoilers below*
A couple major problems to illustrate:
If you've planted bombs everywhere, why not wait until the enemy is inside the blast radius before blowing it up?
If you have the enemy held at gunpoint, do you a) shoot them, b) threaten them to give information, or c) throw down your shotgun and take out a pistol giving them opportunity to disarm you?Could have been great - outlander78
This movie could have been great. It has a good cast, some physically-able leads and a great movie martial artist in a supporting role. Instead, we get a movie with a clichéd plot, horrible dialogue and sub-par action sequences. It is no wonder that this stinker regularly shows up on “worst ever” lists – it could have been great, but went the other way.I Need To Warn People About This Movie - sonpec
What a waste of time! The DVD I received had a scratch on it and so I missed the last 5 minutes or so, but that's actually the best thing about this movie!
First off, the title seems wrong, as less than 1/2 way through the movie they join forces. Secondly, the slow-mo scenes were bordering on ridiculous and were unneccessary. Except in Sever's fight scenes. It was REALLY obvious that Lucy Liu could only get the coreography right if she did it slowly. Lastly, how can two obviously Latino people have a pure white child, and aside from that how the heck did they not know their husband/wife was alive? Don't you need a death certificate to remarry without a divorce? Didn't either one of them want to bury the body and visit the grave of the person they were married to and apparently so in love with?
Not a whole lot about this movie made me want to ever be in the same room as it again, much less have to see it over.
