Batman: The Movie
When Batman (Adam West) and Robin (Burt Ward) get a tip that Commodore Schmidlapp (Reginald Denny) is in danger aboard his yacht, they launch a rescue mission. But, the tip is a set-up by four of the most powerful villains ever, who seek to defeat the Dynamic Duo once and for all!
Armed with a dehydrator that can turn humans into dust, the fearsome foursome intends to take over the world! Can the Caped Crusaders use their high-flying heroism and groovy gadgetry to declaw Catwoman (Lee Meriwether), ice the Penguin (Burgess Meredith), upstage the Joker (Cesar Romero), and stump the Riddler (Frank Gorshin) in time?

What a classic, cheesy, funny movie - a top ten comic book movie even today. You can watch this with the kids, and enjoy it. Riddler, Joker, Catwoman and Penguin are all on call, and fun to watch rant and cackle their way through the film. Batman, Robin and company are painfully straightlaced, but that is the point, and helps keep the show child-friendly. My biggest complaint is that my daughter now has a crush on Robin.Holy Corny batman movie - Signal42
It may be a corny piece of nostalgia and rife with camp value but The batman movie is still an enjoyable treat. Pairing several of the caped crusaders best villians together and having them face off against the dynamic duo is really something else. I will always remember the boisterous shark that lunges for the dark knight while he's climbing the batladder to get into the batcopter. Nothing beats a convenient tube of bat anti shark reppellentCampy, but good - dural78
t's funny how Batman seems to be one of the only super heroes with such vastly different interpretations. For instance, it would be rare to see the Hulk done in this style. This movie is quite nostalgic, and falls into the "so bad, it's good" category.
For fans of the old TV show, it brings back memories with an all-star cast of villains including Joker, Penguin, Riddler, and Catwoman. The (over) acting is terrible, and the script is bad, yet the movie doesn't pretend to be anything more than it is. There seems to be an intangible quality to it that captures your attention.
While it may be a bit too campy for fans of the darker interpretations of Batman, it brings back fond memories of yester year.
