Beach Blanket Bingo
It's The Wettest, Wildest Game In Town!
Sink your toes in the sand and get ready to rock and roll with Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello in this prequel to How To Stuff A Wild Bikini that's full of "fun, frolic and song" (The Film Daily)! With a cast of comedy legends including Don Rickles and Buster Keaton, this surfin' singin' sandfest is "a surefire winner" (Los Angeles Herald-Examiner)!
Frankie (Avalon) and Dee Dee (Funicello) are riding high on romance...until singing sensation Sugar Kane (Linda Evans) falls out of the sky -- and into Frankie's arms! Not to be outdone by the flying femme fatal, Dee Dee signs up for skydiving lessons with the guys. But when their sexy instructor (Deborah Walley) makes Frankie her after-school sweetheart, he must prove his devotion to Dee Dee with a death-defying free fall...and a summer of love she'll never forget!

So much more than just another beach party film! - Neil1
Beach Blanket Bingo pulls out all the stops, and I means all the stops --man, it's the most! It goes something like this:
Take a blanket, made for two
Add a boy and a girl...
When you find a girl for you (you kiss her and)
Bingo --you've won! (That's the name of the game.)
Meanwhile Frankie and Annette, and a cast of dozens, seemingly endlessly hully gully to some of the most hopelessly declasse (and mostly forgotten) tunes of the early sixties; while Buster Keaton adds a touch of class in his first (and last) talkie as a perfunctorily-engaged sport-fisherman, found more often than not in hot pursuit of a certain beach-bunny; and the quintessentially urbane Paul Lynde is never without the per-r-fect rejoinder to some perceived insult or unexpected situation.
The 'scene' is replete with the crazy (you know, like, crazy) antics of a faux motorcycle gang; a really close shave at the old saw-mill (a la Pauline's perils); lessons in skydiving derring-do, courtesy of Don "Big Drop" Rickles; and a REAL LIVE mermaid! Everybody stay tuned for How To Stuff A Wild Bikini.2 1/2 Stars - bleuorchid21
Beach Blanket Bingo is a movie that was part of a series of films that came out in the 60s. Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello star as Frankie and DeeDee, two teens who are dating. Highjinks ensue throughout the movie as there is the occasional song, a gang of thugs, a mermaid, and skidiving involved.
If you are interested in the 60s beach films that came out, check this one out.Awful - FilmJunkie
One of the worst movies I have ever seen. And I have seen 'Gigli' and 'Manos: The Hands of Fate'!
This is a ridiculously horrible flick about a bunch of too-good-looking people who seem to live at a beach and talk about marriage all the time. There is a super lame biker gang, a mermaid and the last role Buster Keaton ever had. What a depressing last role!
The acting is horrendous, the jokes are awful and I feel like I need to take a shower for my brain after watching this.
Gah!
