Despite some decent laughs, it tires out at the end. - estefan
This was my introduction to Mike Judge's infamous coach potato characters and I'm not in any hurry to see them again. Beavis and Butt-Head are very annoying and that harms what could have been a decent little comedy. In regards to making a social commentary on the slacker generation, Judge definitely succeeds as we see these idiots get into one mis-understanding after another and I admit there are some genuinely funny moments to be found here, most of which are in the first two thirds. A disastrous airplane trip, a massive highway accident and the continous unfortunate misfortunes involving a camper provide a bulk of the laughs here as does Bruce Willis as a drunken thief. The animation, meanwhile, is shoddy at best, though a brief hallucination scene (undoubtedly the best part of the entire film) is excellently animated. Near the end, the film does run its well dry and the laughs evaporate as my patience with Beavis and Butt-Head reached a breaking point. After all, there are only so many times one can hear "Heh-heh-heh-heh" and "Cornholio" over and over again.Classic Cartoon humour!!! - jayklaw
Along with some of the other reviews, I never really cared for the tv cartoon, but ten years after it was released on the big screen, it still ranks in the top cartoon movies ever made. Wish there was a number 2... Never seem to tire of the silly antics of those two clowns. Everything possible goes wrong with these guys, but they always seem to come out on top. How do they do it?If you liked the show, you'll love the movie! - Russell_Rules
I never really watched Beavis and Butt-Head when it was on television. I think I saw maybe about four or five full episodes, then kind of forgot about it. However, when I heard that the movie was actually funny, and it wasn't really necessary to have been following the entire TV series, I decided to watch it. Now it's one of my guilty pleasures.
The plot is pretty dumb(They're trying find a new TV and somehow end up being hired to "do" someone's wife, and they end up travelling across the US to do it), but it's full of funny moments. And of course the voice talents of Mike Judge, as well as Bruce Willlis and Demi Moore, are great.
Even if you never watched the show, give this film a chance, I think you'll be pleasently surprised.
