I enjoyed it but the thing is... I have always hated movies that have long musical numbers or dancing that kinda fills our a weak scenario and inflates something that could easily be over in 45 minutes to two hours.
Mind you, the acting is fantastic. I miss seeing classical acting work like crazy... at least these people finished their movements and didn't look all twitchy on screen like the modern actors do.
And the dancers and choreography are fantastic, and it's fun to fall into the whole childhood thing... but I would have enjoyed this more when I was 5 or 6. Not 31.
My wife got a kick out of it. This was a classic for her. Me, I started reading a book at the same time when the non-story elements reared their heads.
The style just doesn't age well. I mean back in the day when people went to the movies to see something of all the live shows they couldn't afford to see, yeah, this was justifiable. But nowadays... nah, it just really bores me.
And it's not because it's an older movie. I love the original "Flubber" and "The Cat From Outer Space". It's really the signing and the dancing that drops it several notches for me.a classic - deb1
Bed Knobs and Broomsticks is a wonderful, fun, well acted movie that every child should see. I love the characters, especially the children. The way they speak, not just the accents, but their lines, so funny.
The music, the story, all of it is great. We watch it quite often a a family. have a great daySubstitutionary Locomotion!! - hilkayaker
One of my favourite Disney movies of all time. This is a classic that all children should watch. Teaches you about the war and what happened to the children. Imagination and a mystical world to boot. Great songs (LOVE the age of not believing!!) and fun dance numbers (like portabello road). Angela Lounsbery does an amazing job. Great movie, watch it!!
