Yes it is a nice movie to watch for upcoming young girls to realize that there is life outside the home. There are a few comedic signs, Anupam Kher was usual does a good job and this movie help Kiera Knightley on the main screen. Watch it if you have time to kill...Great film - Wentai
1) Positive movie, finally, that says girls can do anything they want. I'm a guy and I hate movies that gravitate toward the opposite conclusion.
2) Great tale of friendship. Like all the best movies, it is about the loyalty, friendship and trust between the two main characters.
3) A skilled and impartial look at parents who try to control their children, especially girls. Far too many parents force their kids to obey, not realizing how they would feel if someone forced them to obey them. It's time to stop throwing kids onto the street if we don't approve of who they are going out with, and letting them make their own decisions as they become adults.What I expected - skichick
We watched the movie twice. I knew it would be a good one, but still I loved it. We watched it on movie night with my 6 year old girl as well and I think it was inspiring for her as well. Juliette Anderson (the woman who plays Keira Knightley's mom was my favourite character. Her expressions are so telling without any words required!
