Beverly Hills Ninja
"Lively and Funny!" - Kevin Thomas, Los Angeles Times
Chris Farley, Nicollette Sheridan, Chris Rock and Robin Shou star in this cosmic clash of cultures about a talentless Ninja determined to save a mysterious damsel in distress.
Farley stars as Haru, an orphaned American who washes ashore in Japan and is mistaken for the great White Ninja of legend. Raised among the finest Ninjas, Haru grows strong and big-very big. With the grace of all Three Stooges rolled into one body, Haru is an embarrassment to his clan. But when a beautiful blonde pleads for his help. Haru is given one dangerous, disastrously funny chance to prove himself.

This was a funny movie. Chris Farley is just so darn nuts as this happy go lucky ninja who sucks at being a ninja. Then, he tries to stop some sort of gangsters in Beverly Hills, falls in love and teaches Chris Rock some awesome skills that involve chasing a chicken. I presume that from my description of this movie, you want to see it. I don't really care if you don't want to see it after reading my description. Just see the movie, it's funny.Farley Near The Bottom - TheShamus
I love Chris Farley. Just seeing his face could make me laugh. One of my favourite comedies (as silly as it was) is "Tommy Boy". Farley's followup (with David Spade) was, "Black Sheep" which started Farley's film decline ... and this film, "Beverly Hills Ninja" was even worse that Black Sheep.
The premise of Farley training to become a ninja is silly ... but at least funny. Unfortunately, this is one of the funniest things about the movie. The ninja jokes are pretty much rehashed from other movies.
From the other reviews, I can tell there are "hard core" fans on this site --- or perhaps they like the "martial arts" jokes ... but this is just physical comedy ... and very little of it is funny.
This is just silly "schtick" comedy I would expect from Curly in "The Three Stooges". I actually sat through this movie in the theatre -- and the few paying audience members didn't enjoy the movie either.
Reportedly, Farley did not like the movie either (and he was on drugs).
My advice ... save your ZIP -- or ZIP up "Tommy Boy" or "Chris Farley" Best of SNL.

Besides that I like the CHRIS FARLEY movies, most funny TOMMY BOY. I bought this movie for ROBIN SHOU, after liked him in the MORTAL KOMBAT movies, and found him here, of course I had to have this one.
The movie is really good, besides all this is very hard to find: a movie like this one, funny, without being vulgar or have any sexual inuendos.
