Blame It On Rio
"A Top Notch Comedy... A Very Funny Movie!" -Los Angeles Magazine
Welcome to the most exciting and sensual city in the world... Rio de Janeiro! The "ultimate naughtiness" (Vogue) of Brazil's hottest town is captured in this "wild and wacky, zany screwball romantic comedy" (Los Angeles Magazine) with a red-hot cast that includes Michael Caine (The Cider House Rules), Joseph Bologna (Big Daddy), Michelle Johnson (The Glimmer Man) and Demi Moore (Ghost).
Upon arriving in exotic Rio, long time friends Matthew (Caine) and Victor (Bologna) and their teenage daughters (Moore & Johnson) barely unpack before this infamous pleasure spot begins to cast its torrid spell. Matthew quickly succumbs to Cupid's arrow, but when guilt gets the better of this married man, he vows to end the affair and keep it a secret... even from Victor. But as his white lies grow, so does his libido, and Matthew continues his indiscretions...until his wife shows up!

Interesting idea squandered by un-realistic script. - estefan
There's a good film in here somewhere and some funny jokes abound along with Michael Caine's solid performance, but it's muddled about by a script that's all over the place. The main problem is evident early on by a completely fantasy depiction of Brazil (most notably when nude women are shown walking through the Copacabana beach, even though it's illegal) and this only induces un-intentional laughs. Once the adultery plot begins, then it becomes almost ridiculous though the way Caine handles it does produce some laughs, but Michelle Johnson's performance leaves a lot to be desired. There are some things that do work, but as a whole, this film is filled with missed opportunities.
If any film deserves a remake in this day and age, it's this one.Keep it in the family - AandW
A man and his best friend go on vacation together. They take their daughters. One man is recently separated and the other's is on the rocks. They need a get away. But when the married man is seduced by his best friend's daughter - he's 43 and she's 18 - everything falls apart. His daughter finds out and gets mad. His best friend finds out and gets mad. The daughter calls the wife and she shows up. Only thing is...B - RPM-
Overall a kind of a light and fluffy movie, that said, it is still entertaining. Michelle Johnson is the perfect woman for me. Oh yeah Demi Moore is in this one too, kind of a spare part in the film, you barely notice her in it (maybe that's me tho becaus of Michelle hehe)
Two friends and their daughters vacation in Rio. Pretty soon Jennifer is throwing herself at the much older Matthew , and he cannot resist the temptation (who could?) When Victor finds out his daugter is seeing an older man, not knowing exactly who, he starts hunting for him, punching out every older man who even looks at his daughter.
Plot is kind of obvious, but has some nice laughs to it as well.
