Body Heat
"A classy and seductive entertainment." -Jack Kroll, Newsweek
William Hurt and Kathleen Turner strike sparks in Lawrence Kasdan's Body Heat, a sexy, haunting tale of desire and skullduggery that echoes 1940s film noirs but is charged with an energy and passion that could only flare in the '80s. Aided by a sultry John Barry score, Kasdan's assured directorial debut foreshadowed the emotional textures he would bring to later films The Big Chill, The Accidental Tourist and Grand Canyon. Sit back and bask in this contemporary classic's wicked warmth.

Tense thriller, fun, smart dialogue, vivid love scenes - clauditorium
Tense thriller with fun, smart dialogue and hot, real, and vivid love scenes follows Double Indemnity very closely (for the first hour, it’s almost a remake), but is its own movie. The ending is a bit underwhelming. Kathleen Turner is convincing enough as an expert manipulator that it’s believable dumb ape William Hurt would be fooled. Ted Danson is fun as Hurt’s pal.Still hot - Willibrord
Body Heat is as sultry and steamy as I remembered it. The viewer can almost feel the unbearably hot weather as well as the passion that Kathleen Turner's and William Hurt's characters feel for one another. The film can seem dated ... but isn't that part of the joy of watching movies that weren't made this decade?Surprisingly good - blikil
Not bad at all, even if actors are not that well known stars. Good suspense, actors performing well, and good scenario. Really a good police drama with a really unexpected ending. Picture quite good. The sound was good enough too. Rent this movie with no fears. You will never regret it.
