Body Heat
"A classy and seductive entertainment." -Jack Kroll, Newsweek
William Hurt and Kathleen Turner strike sparks in Lawrence Kasdan's Body Heat, a sexy, haunting tale of desire and skullduggery that echoes 1940s film noirs but is charged with an energy and passion that could only flare in the '80s. Aided by a sultry John Barry score, Kasdan's assured directorial debut foreshadowed the emotional textures he would bring to later films The Big Chill, The Accidental Tourist and Grand Canyon. Sit back and bask in this contemporary classic's wicked warmth.

Body Heat - outwalking5
Sexy, sultry, with a slow but relentless buildup of tension in a heat-soaked Florida town. William Hurt does a heap of sweating in this moody revamp of classic noir films from the 30's and 40's, with gorgeous Kathleen Turner as his alluring but deadly companion in crime. Some scenes seem dated as when many of the protagonists sit around at an indoor meeting and puff avidly away on their cigarettes. But then, it IS an older movie, the performances hold up well. And the ending has an especially good twist.a must see - tbird
this film is one that will never go out of date. there is so much tension between the characters and good suspense, the acting is perfect, there are no boring parts. i like how the film keeps you guessing.it may be a bit of an older film, but it is one that will not disappoint.A Classic - LOPI
A typical film noir. The pioneering directors of the genre would have killed to be able to get away from censorship and produce something like Body Heat. The atmosphere of the movie is so well rendered that you actually feel hot while watching. William Hurt is superb as the dumb blond (not a woman, this time!) who is ensnared by a steamingly hot Kathleen Turner. Also features Ted Danson in a fine pre-Sam Malone performance.
