Seth Davis (Giovanni Ribisi, Saving Private Ryan) runs a small-time casino operation out of his apartment. Interesting Movie - LoriOntario
This movie is interesting because it is all about the inner workings of a pump and dump stock fraud.
Some young, inexperienced broker trainees are taught high pressure sales techniques. They don’t realize it, but the business owner is running pump and dump stock scams by creating an artificial demand for specific stocks. The brokerage is preying on the greed and ignorance of the clients. The brokers keep promising high future returns so that clients stay invested and encourage them to buy more even though the stock price is falling.
The beginning is a little slow, but it gets more interesting as the movie progresses. The acting is good.
Although it is a crime movie, there aren’t any car chases or shooting scenes.

This is the first movie that I recieved through Zip that I watched twice while I had it. It is hard to put my finger on what makes it a good movie, but it is one of those times where I didn't notice how much time had passed before the movie was over. Not a lot of people have heard of this movie and it is a shame as it is a really interesting look at the underbelly of investment brokerage house ... how true it is I don't know. I also thought that the alternate ending that was found in the extras would have been a better way to end the movie, but either way, I was extremely satisfied.A Must! - nice
This movie blew me away when I first watched it. I have seen it a few times and always notice something new that I may have missed the prior time. A very entertaining movie. An all-star cast. Affleck and Diesel are amazing. Ribisi also plays his role perfectly.
Five Stars for this movie and is highly recommended!!!
