Gerard Depardieu and Marcello Mastroianni star as two foreign eccentrics decaying in a rat-infested NYC apartment. While walking along the beach, Luigi (Mastroianni) discovers the corpse of King Kong. He also finds Kong's son and brings the infant to his friend Gerard (Depardieu) to adopt.
