Challenge Of The Seas examines the beauty, behavior and preservation of species and discusses the environmental issues facing the oceans including how man is affecting the ocean's delicate balance.

Volume 1:

Once Upon A Manta - A giant Pacific Manta is eight feet from wingtip to wingtip. They are called devilfish because of the mandibles which appear to be horns. These animals are truly gentle and even allowed a cameraman to ride upon their backs.

Otter Coast - Once, more than 100,000 sea otters graced the coast of California. Then fur traders hunted these marvelous creatures to the brink of extinction. Now, under protection, the sea otters are rebounding.
