Chances Are
In Chances Are, the irresistable romantic comedy of two lifetimes, Cybill Shepard stars as Corinne Jeffres, a beautiful young woman whose picture-perfect life comes to a shattering halt when her husband Louie dies unexpectantly. Fortunately, Louie gets a second shot at life when he agrees to be "recycled" back to Earth as the newborn Alex Finch. But fate crosses Alex's path twenty-three years later when he meets Corinne's daughter Miranda, and is suddenly flooded with a wealth of memories that all belong to Louie! Now, as Alex's former existance slowly comes to life, he must confront a wife who thinks he is dead, a daughter who could be his girlfriend and a best friend who's in love with Corinne. From Dirty Dancing director Emile Ardolino comes this heartwarming comedy that gives romance an unforgettable second chance.

Kinda Creepy Actually - MovieLover5
Out of all the "dead guy returns in another body" films, this one misses the mark. Ryan O'Neal and Cybill Shepherd do well with what they have to work with, but Robert Downey Jr's character rather grates on you after a while (although it's interesting to see him at the outset of his adult career). The plot is pretty lame even for this genre and I found myself squirming as the 23 year old reincarnated husband puts the moves on his presumably nearing 50 year old wife, and that's after he makes moves on their daughter, albeit before he remembers his prior life. Better movies are Heaven Can Wait, All of Me, Here Comes Mr. Jordan.
