Chato's Land
Bronson and Palance Square Off In A No-Holds Barred Western Showdown!
Charles Bronson (The Magnificent Seven) and Academy Award® winner Jack Palance (City Slickers) star in a magnificent western as wild and untamed as the Old West itself. Bristling with dynamic action sequences and riveting performances, Chato's Land is a bold, sweeping tale of passion, vengeance and cold-blooded murder.
Chato (Bronson) is a half-breed Apache Indian who treads the line between two cultures, balancing allegiance to his tribe with the allure of the white man's world. But when Chato kills a vicious sheriff in self-defense, he finds himself hunted by a posse led by the ruthless Quincey Whitmore (Palance), a former Confederate soldier who is determined to see him hang. It's 13 men against one, but the odds shift in Chato's favor when he leads his pursuers into Apache territory, where the harsh, cruel countryside can kill as surely as a gunman's bullet.

Ok ! Ok ! I am bias I am a huge Bronson fan. But this is a very good movie. The scenerie is amazing. A story of vengeance. The stalker becomes the stalkee. I think Charles says about 10 words in the whole movie but that's ok he doesn't need to here.Parched and Hungry - bwod
Chatos's Land is not a great film, but the dvd presentation tried to make it look as good as possible. The picture is bright and rich, and the letter-box format preserves the cinematic look. Spanish locations stand out beautifully as back-drops. Charles Bronson's strength shines through-out, as well as the supporting cast. Jack Palance plays it tough and wily, as the former Confederate Cavalry officer, who leads a posse out to capture and execute Chato. I found it a bit too long and kept hoping resolution to the conflict would come quickly. It doesn't. One strange thing about the dvd is that there are no credits. The movie ends abruptly and there is not even a "The End". This one is for die-hard, "Death Wish" western fans. Violence is at times a bit much. I hope the horses were not injured or killed in the making of this film. At times it looked too realistic. Unfortunately the credits do not divulge even this information.
