Circle Of Friends
For everyone who ever thought the person they loved was out of their reach.
Circle Of Friends is a story of first love, first kisses and first betrayals. Three girlhood friends are re-united in college, ready to experience life to the fullest. Eve, an orphan, quiet and observant; Nan, socially and sexually precocious; and Benny, a modest, self conscious dreamer. It doesn't take long for them all, in their exciting new world, to meet men and fall in love. But Benny, unsure of herself and scared of rejection, follows her heart out on a limb for the brightest, best looking boy on the campus. Will her shyly adventurous spirit be rewarded? One thing is sure. Whatever happens in affairs of the heart, Benny will always rely on the people she loves - and the people who love her - Circle of Friends.

Who doesn't like Chris O'Donnell - maebers
Minnie Driver is very convincing as Benny, the straightforward, sensitive, caring, and humorous virgin with plum curves, a radiant smile, and expressive eyes. And as for Chris O'Donnell, well do I even have to say... I have watched this movies so many times that my Dvd has worn out... lolA Quiet Movie Showcasing Some Young Talent - Mookie
Minnie Driver and Chris O'Donnell, Alan Cumming and Colin Firth round out this strong acting ensemble. It is a movie a remember quite liking when I saw it many years ago and it stands up fairly well over time. There is some nice quiet drama and the main character is very compelling.
It is a coming of age film. It is the story of a young girl coming into womanhood and learning to assert herself and discover she has as much to offer men as her more sexually aware frien Eve.
While some may argue it is a little slow and uneventful, I think it is refreshing that the film is not overly melodramatic and captures the realism of friendship and friendship betrayals.Excellent Coming of Age Movie - Myfannwy
Minnie Driver shines in her breakout film Circle of Friends. This is a heartbreaking and inspirational film about a young girl falling in love for the first time and discovering how treacherous the real world can be. Brilliant performances by all, excellent screenplay adaptation.
