The Painted Desert:

William Boyd plays a foundling who grows up on the other side of the range from his ladylove and must decide between the family feud and the cattle or Helen Twelvetrees and the cattle. A young Clark Gable plays the dark cloud that is menacing the future of these two nice kids.
