Nature Fights Back... With a Vengeance! 3 Great Movies!
Towering, roaring walls of water suddenly sweep away everything in their path... a harmless-looking microbe painfully eats through your body - from the inside. In a heartbeat, Mother Nature can take off the gloves and unleash unspeakable destruction and terror - and there's nothing mankind can do to stop her. So as the earth angrily cracks open beneath your feet or death begins raining down from the skies overhead, hang on - and pray that you make it to sunrise.
Virus:
It's one of the most deadly "bugs" ever created, unstoppable and incurable. It's also uncontrollable and is soon accidentally unleashed on the world. As the population begins dying by the thousands, the only people who are safe (for now) are at a remote government location in Antarctica. As the virus spreads their way, they're about to face another equally terrifying disaster. Stars Chuck Connors, Glenn Ford, Edward James Olmos and Bo Svenson.
Hurricane:
A storm of unprecedented power is growing, headed straight for a tiny Mississippi town and is certain to destroy it. Hurricane watchers desperately race to save the citizens from this horrifying death - but the water is rising, the winds are picking up... and time is running out. Stars Larry Hagman and Martin Milner.
Deadly Harvest:
What happens when pollution has gone too far and crops won't grow anymore? A farmer and his family are caught up in a vicious battle over the world's dwindling food supply as they face an increasingly savage population. Stars Clint Walker and Kim Cattrall.

Old fun - Chucky
I can see that theres not a ton of intrest in this old stuff. Not that I can blame anyone for leaving this one by the road but in order to fully apreciate todays tastier and far faster pased offerings its always better to look at earlier efforts in the genre. In the first offering "Virus" Robert Vaugn had the good tase to die a horribly painful death, the most entertaining that he has been since the Man from UNCLE. Despite its flaws, this movie was remarkably well researched. It is hypothosized that if man were to utterly vanish from the earth within a relatively short period of time, within the year there would be nuclear catastrophie as power plants too long unmanned succomed to the China Syndrome and resulting earthquakes set off nuclear missles that bring on full scale nuclear war on a human free world-indeed interesting to ponder.
hurricane wasn't as good or fast pased as the subsiquent Catagory movies but one can draw paralells. Deadily harvest, shows the true nature of humanity during the aftermath of disaster through somewhat rose tinted glasses. Most of this stinker is filmed on a farm rather than in the city where a famine would hit the hardest this turkey is easily the worse of the three.
Not for any but serious movie buffs, safe viewing for everyone but boring as hell.
