Crossfire Trail
A hero is measured by the enemies he makes.
Rafe Covington is as good as his word, and he's determined to keep his promise to a dying man that he'll look after the man's widow and Wyoming ranch. But the widow doubts the integrity of drifter Covington. And an unscrupulous land grabber and his gunmen are sizing up the ranch the way a spider eyes a fly.
Tom Selleck plays Covington in this stirring Western that reteams him with Simon Wincer, who directed Selleck in Quigley Down Under and also helmed the award-winning Lonesome Dove. Star and filmmaker again score a bull's eye, steeped in the cowboy way that source novelist Louis L'Amour knew better than anyone. Valor, grit, uprightness - the signposts of the heroic West mark the Crossfire Trail.

Great Western - minny5ca
Usually I don't go for Westerns but this one given the excellent cast piqued my interests a little bit and zipped it when I had the chance.
Overall well acted film - Tom Selleck is a natural as the Western hero, and Mark Harmon no slouch as the bad guy either with equally good performances from Wilfred Brimley and Virginia Madsen as the pretty "widow" that is the center of attention in this film. Well her and her "ranch" that is.
I liked this movie - 8/10Interesting film - Wentai
The guy at the local blockbuster really perked up when I went in a few years back asking for the new Tom Selleck movie. The guy' response indicated he really, really liked Tom Selleck; funny how people can let little bits of information about themselves slip out like that during a conversation.
The movie also turned out to be pretty good; I normally don't like Westerns, and only rented this one because my mom also has a crush on Tom Selleck, but this film turned out to be great. A highly entertaining and well crafted film, Crossfire Trail will be perfect for those of you that love the western era.
In short, highly recommended for fans of Westerns and Tom Selleck.Tom Selleck Shows His Stuff In This Legedary Tale - bwod
When a Louis L'Amour book is adapted for film, you can expect good things. In "Crossfire Trail", the medium is television, but the production values are top-notch. Filmed In Alberta, and including some familiar Canadian actors, this western has some interesting plot twists, and besides Selleck, Virginia Madsen, Mark Harmon, Wilford Brimley and Brad Johnson all contribute greatly to this action-packed story. Highly recommended to the cowboy fans out there. Two thumbs up.
