Die Hard: With a Vengeance
"Fun with a Vengeance!" -Gene Shalit, Today Show
The third installment of the hugely successful Die Hard series reteams Bruce Willis and director John McTiernan in a new action/adventure extravaganza of special effects, unexpected comedy and nonstop thrills.
This time, New York cop John McClane (Willis) is the personal target of the mysterious Simon (Jeremy Irons), a terrorist determined to blow up the entire city if he doesn't get what he wants. Accompanied by an unwilling civilian partner (Samuel L. Jackson), McClane careens wildly from one end of New York City to the other as he struggles to keep up with Simon's deadly game. It's a battle of wits between a psychopathic genius and a heroic cop who once again finds himself having a really bad day.

The best action films are the ones that still evoke the same reaction from the viewer every time they see it. Die Hard is one of those films. It still makes me laugh, cringe at the violence and cheer on the hero in all the right places. Bruce Willis has proven to be quite a good actor in the years since this movie’s release, but no matter how many different roles he takes on, he will always be to me that wise-ass New York City Irish flatfoot who manages to be in the wrong place at the wrong timeYippy Kay Ai!!! - hilkayaker
Still love Die Hard but this one has to be one of my least favs of the series. I'm glad the storyline changed a bit, in that it is not Christmas time and he isn't saving his wife though. Samuel L Jackson is a nice addition to the team and the "Simon Says" drama is fun to watch them running all around the city.At last a macho flick worth watching Ladies! - Radio_Jane
If it's your man's turn to pick and you are dreading another rock em sock em blow up every thing in site movie, gently suggest this one. IT IS FUNNY! Deliciously quotable, the third installment of the trilogy is the best, mostly because of the Samuel L. Jackson character, who has some of the best lines ever written for an action movie. Grahame Greene is sorely underused though. All in all entertaining for both sexes, although be forwarened it is graphic and the language is bad most of the time.
