Dirty Work
It's Sick It's Dirty It's Their Job
If you like "irreverent acerbic humor" (San Diego Union Tribune), then you’ll love this outrageous screwball comedy starring Norm Macdonald, Jack Warden and Chevy Chase and featuring legendary funnyman Don Rickles.
Life’s not so great for Mitch Weaver (Macdonald). He’s just lost his girlfriend, his job, and now his best friend’s dad (Warden) need a new heart! But the only way to arrange the transplant is to cut a deal with a surgeon (Chase) with a gambling problem - in other words, find $50,000 or the old man dies! Out of work and out of options, all Mitch and his friends have to rely on is their one natural talent - revenge! Whether planting phony hookers in cars or stinking up houses with rotting fish, these "Revenge Specialists For Hire" are sick, dirty - and good! But when a rich client refuses to pay up after a job well-done, they make him realize exactly who he’s messing with - after all, getting even is their business!

Dirty Work is hilarious. Pure nonsense from beginning to end and I loved it all. Norm Rules!
USELESS FACTS:
Chris Farley's last film
This movie came out months after Norm MacDonald was fired from Saturday Night Live. When it was out in theaters, none of the shows on NBC were allowed to advertise it.
Howard Stern was offered a cameo appearance as Satan but turned it down. Adam Sandler ended up with the role.
According to Chevy Chase, he was impressed by the original script's raunchy, R-rated, "over the top" tone (particularly a filmed but ultimately cut gag involving MacDonald and Lange delivering donuts that had been photographed around their genitals) and went so far as to tell MacDonald and Lange to not allow any changes. However, the studio insisted on a PG-13 rating and rescheduled the film's release from February to June, where it fared poorly against blockbusters like Godzilla. Unfortunately, no alternate scenes had been shot and the dialogue could only be changed with the actor's re-recording their lines. This may explain why some of the dialogue is dubbed in certain scenes. One of the Better SNL Spinoffs - detersti
As others have said, if you like Norm McDonald then you'll like this. It has many SNL characters from the 90's, but it turns out better than most SNL spin offs traditionally have. It isn't a laugh riot from start to finish, but it has a few truly funny scenes. It isn't too long which is important for these types of movies and while there are a number of flaws with the story line and plot, that isn't the reason you're watching this in the first place. For Norm MacDonald Fans - ozzmodan
If you like Norm MacDonald's style of comedy, you'll love this movie, if you don't, you won't. The story is really only there to give Norm a platform to work from, nothing more. The rest of the cast (except Chris Farley) could probably be changed also & have no effect on the quality of the movie. The fact that Norm isn't doing any more movies is, as he says in the film "ridiculous, absolutely ridiculous".
